Position Description - The Department of Biological Sciences at Lehigh University is seeking a full-time, non-tenure track Professor of Practice to begin in August 2018. The position requires a Ph.D. in biological sciences, postdoctoral teaching experience, and expertise in the use of innovative and interactive scientific teaching methodologies. This is a three-year position, with the potential of renewal. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching non-major and introductory level biology courses, including one in comparative and systems biology with its associated lab, and administering ongoing assessments of programmatic learning objectives. Mentoring undergraduate students in independent or collaborative research projects is also expected. The College of Arts & Sciences at Lehigh is especially interested in qualified candidates who can contribute, through their research, teaching, and/or service, to the diversity and excellence of the academic community.
