Position Description - The College of Education at Lehigh University invites applications for a tenure-track position at either the assistant or associate level in our School Psychology Program. If the candidate is applying at the associate level, there is the possibility of tenure at appointment for qualified applicants. Our program is APA-accredited and currently has conditional approval from NASP. The program is structured according to a scientist-practitioner model of training. The program emphasizes problem-solving and data-based decision making within multi-tiered systems of service delivery. Further, it operates from an ecological approach to supporting children and families, emphasizing cultural contexts and uniquely preparing students for school psychology practice in diverse settings. Successful candidates will demonstrate a primary focus on academic assessment and intervention in their research and teaching accomplishments. A strong history of securing external funding or potential to do so is strongly preferred. Successful candidates are expected to teach graduate-level courses, maintain an active research agenda, mentor specialist level (EdS) and doctoral (PhD) students, and actively contribute to the overall mission of the program. Candidates should hold a Doctorate in School Psychology preferably from an APA-approved graduate program with a scientist-practitioner emphasis and be certification-eligible as a school psychologist in Pennsylvania. Preferably, the candidate should be eligible for licensure in Pennsylvania.
