| Job Function - Responsible for organizing, managing, and executing a comprehensive fund-raising program for Athletics, including major gifts and annual giving. Directly manages a portfolio of donor prospects capable of giving $25,000-$100,000+ over five years (CR 5-10) and annual solicitations of $5,000 and higher. Provides assistance and content expertise on major gifts solicitations managed by other gift officers. Serves as liaison between the Office of Athletics and the Office of Advancement, including the Lehigh Fund, University Events, University Communications, and Athletic Partnership. |
ACCOUNTABILITIES

Coordinate marketing, cultivation and stewardship activities for Athletics donors and donor prospects
|
*
|
Coordinate with Advancement Services on reports related to fundraising progress and donor lists
|
*
|
Develop long term relationships with key donors and prospective donors to secure financial support for top Lehigh priorities; increase the donor prospect pool by qualifying discovery prospects
|
*
|
Prepare both customized and standardized proposals, correspondence, and reports for prospective donors and prospects
|
*
|
Plan, coordinate and administer a fundraising program for Athletics focused on Discovery, and Leadership-level prospects rated 5, 6, and 10 and solicitations of $5,000+
|

|
Develop annual fundraising plans, identify potential donors, and assess feasibility on projects; serve as project manager to track fundraising progress, monitor pipeline, LYBUNT, SYBUNT, and new prospect activity
|
*
|
Assist in development of case statements, proposal templates, cultivation events, and reports related to Athletics
|
*
|
Document activity with donors in timely manner; ensure that gifts are booked in accordance with gift purpose and university standards, and troubleshoot when discrepancies are discovered
|
QUALIFICATIONS
1. |
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent; or equivalent combination of education and experience |
2. |
Five to eight years related work experience |
3. |
Ability to complete projects on time and on budget, and report on status and progress |
4. |
Excellent computer skills with experience using word processing, spreadsheet, database and presentation software |
5. |
Excellent writing ability and organizational skills |
6. |
Solid analytical and problem solving skills, ability to work independently |
7. |
Successful completion of standard background checks: social security verification, education verification, and national criminal background checks |
