Job Function - Direct the Lehigh Fund by providing strategy, leadership and innovation to the university's annual giving program. Double annual giving within the next 10 years from its current level of $12M and position Lehigh to be among the top 10 universities in alumni giving percentage. Manage programmatic activities related to prospecting, visiting, cultivating and soliciting past, current and future donors. The Director will oversee all aspects of the Lehigh's annual giving program including: class and reunion giving; mass marketing; student philanthropy and faculty/staff campaigns. Additionally, the Director will: maintain a portfolio of key donors and donor prospects; oversee a team of 10+ gift officers and nonexempt staff members, 50 student callers; and a program budget. He/she will work with the Leadership (Major) Gift Officers on prospect discovery; the alumni association on engagement strategies and be a member of the Management Team as a senior advisor for Advancement policy.

ACCOUNTABILITIES
*
Develop, implement and manage overall strategy for increasing Lehigh Fund alumni participation goals and both restricted and unrestricted giving
*
Provide strategic and tactical oversight for all phone-a-thon and Lehigh Liners (student calling) programs to include: operations; calling pool segmentation, script development, and caller recruiting and training
*
Identify new prospects at all gift levels
*
Bring new ideas, creativity and an educational process to student and alumni donor programs
*
Coordinate, reorganize and implement a new volunteer structure to manage and steward volunteers for both reunion and class giving; develop and implement a volunteer recognition program
*
Manage departmental employment process including position evaluation, salary determination, hiring and evaluating performance
*
Serve as a liaison between the Advancement Office and the Department of Athletics to ensure athletic fund raising needs are known and funded
*
Plan and oversee special annual campaigns such as Faculty/Staff scholarship, Challenge scholarship, parents, fraternities and sororities
*
Plan, implement and manage a direct marketing strategy that includes all areas of media production and technology for multiple decades and alumni groups
*
Advise the Management Team on all matters that impact annual giving

QUALIFICATIONS
1.
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Management, Business Administration or Humanities or related fields preferred. Individual experience will also be taken into account.
2.
Five to eight years related work experience
3.
Supervisory experience preferred
4.
Ability to complete projects on time and on budget, and report on status and progress
5.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
6.
Solid analytical, decision making and problem solving skills
7.
Excellent computer skills with experience using word processing, spreadsheet, database and presentation software
8.
Familiarity with SunGard SCT Banner and Ruffalo CODY's Campus CALL software a plus
9.
Successful completion of standard background checks: social security verification, education verification, and national criminal background checks
