“Cartographic Perspectives: From the New World to Your World”

Linderman Library opens a door on the world through its exhibit of cartographic materials from Lehigh's collections. The show features maps of the New World and early world maps, Lehigh University and Bethlehem, Western exploration, and more. Lehigh faculty and students frame this rich collection by providing their own "cartographic perspective" on how to map the world and why maps matter.

The Dalai Lama Visit to Lehigh

His Holiness the Dalai Lama will come to Lehigh University in July 2008 for an historic series of teachings sponsored by the Tibetan Buddhist Learning Center in Washington, N.J., in collaboration with the university. In commemoration of this momentous occasion, Special Collections has prepared a small exhibit in the Alumni Memorial Building.

Special Collections is celebrating Lehigh’s founder Asa Packer’s 200th Birthday by exhibiting six unique artist books that were designed and handbound by Lehigh University students as Graphic Design III class projects called "Asa Packer Book Project".

John Fritz and His Legacy: 50th Anniversary of the New Fritz Lab

This exhibition is celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Fritz Engineering Laboratory addition that houses the Baldwin Universal test machine which is capable of testing the strength of materials up to 5 million pounds. Documents, photographs and artifacts about John Fritz, Fritz Lab and Civil Engineering Department are exhibited.

Planet Lehigh: Early Astronomy

This exhibition contains documents and publications about the minor planet called "Planet Lehigh" discovered in 1909. The exhibition also has information about asteroids generally; the history of astronomy at Lehigh University; and information about the present day astronomy and astrophysics program.
